Whoa… helloa…. And many happy returns. Thought I’d let you in on a few thoughts and things encountered both inward and outward on this journey called… Jeff. It feels like the last few months has been one of those periods of time where everyone’s been digging tunnels – a la bugs bunny shooting about underground … and now people are starting to stick their heads out and catch a few breaths. I myself have been embroiled in all manner of ‘underground’ activities… I basically haven’t wanted to leave the house too much. And a month ago in the week up to Glastonbury (our 1st) we were in Sweden to play the accelerator festival and on walking back to our hotel from a bar we’d been in 4 young Swedes took it on themselves to show us a side of Stockholm we hadn’t as yet seen and proceeded to punch and kick us one by one, in between murmurs of “welcome to Stockholm”. Naturally we obliged them and graced their knuckles quite daintily excepting Joe (overqualified cellist) who ran around and around with one particularly drug-fucked aggressor in pursuit. I started laughing because the guy couldn’t catch him and the whole thing looked like a game of pacman. But then he did catch him and what had seemed like a good story turned into a long series of physio and doctors appointments and now possibly surgery blah blah damn. (the guy dislocated his arm) so go to his myspace and tell him how great and offensive his music is (joe zeitlin in the top friends bit) cos he needs cheering up. And sorry to anyone who came to lounge on the farm or Glastonbury or is coming to any of the other ones we’re doing in the next month expecting to see mr joe as he’s off games till further notice. But in other news, same said joe has done an amazing remix of “all the dogs” from off of the album which’ll be out as one of the b-sides for “brown trout” which is our next single. And I and a friend called ben made a weird video for the single which you can see soon… and there’s another b-side for same said single which is a new song recorded by me and adam at home (drinking tea). And there’s quite a lot to tell you really but maybe I could drip feed it over the next few weeks… but I’ve been working on the soundtrack for a short film called wayfaring stranger which you can also see soon… and and… I have to drive to play in kent now so. More next week. Lots of love johnnyWebsite by Retrofuzz
